Here we go:

"We had a lovely time at Aunt Susie's surprise 50th birthday party. We enjoyed dancing outside under the romantic moonlight. Champagne, wine, beer, and soda were flowing all evening. No one was hungry either because the caterer did a wonderful job providing us all with a crisp vinaigrette salad, warm garlic flavored dinner rolls, sumptuous ravioli stuffed with roasted chicken in a vodka cream sauce -- all topped off by the most delicious tiramasu we have ever tasted. Of course, coffee and tea were available. The DJ did such a wonderful job on his selection of music which really kept the party alive and moving.
Aunt Susie thanked everyone for coming and also said it was the most special night of her life."

I went to church on the day of the new Millenium. There were lots of people joined in a circle holding hands, praying and singing. Still, I feel a slight regret in not joining the regular people out there at the park looking at the fireworks.

As I recall, the day was warm and the sky was perfect. Ah yes, that was the day of days, the one I remember so well even now, all these years later.
