I am not really into movies, but I think both are good it just depends on how good the script is, or how much interest the viewer has in the subject at hand.

For example if you are the sort of person who likes cheesy chick flicks, or think a really good movie has at least one love scene, and you saw a movie about how some bloke rose through the ranks of politics to become the American President and the movie did not have one single love scene, you are not going to think that the movie was any good are you?

I always like the movies based on true stories. Even if they don't have a happy ending, you can always learn something from them.

the inspirational movies are often based on true to life stories eg The Pursuit of Happyness. hmm... and true to life movies are often only on the big screen because they are inspirational. lol but meh, those are just generalisations.
