Nothing can travel faster than light, however two objects can be moving away from eachother faster than the speed of light. Most of the universe is not observable because the sum velocity of the Earth and the distant universe is greater than light speed. it is traveling away The speed of light is 670,616,629 miles per hour... much faster than the Apollo.
UPDATE: The mass of an object that travels faster than light will become infinite, requiring infinite energy to sustain those speeds. Nothing, not even in the quantum realm, can travel faster than light. Tachyons are a hypothetical product of string theory, a theory that is, IMHO, in shambles. It can't be proven or disproven -- just like God or the fact that I'm a computer-savvy dragon.

No. Just the limit that mass can be pushed. Mass can exceed the speed of light if it is pulled by gravity to way past c. Apparently during the "expansion" the entire universe was accelerated past the speed of light. There is also a phenomena that occurs between like electrons so as if one is interfered with, the other will respond, and this occurs at a rate in violation of the 3d limit of 3 x 10/10 cm/sec (is that right?)

light speed which is 186,000 miles per second or 300,000 Km per second is the speed limit of Matter.
However, I have recently learned that non matter, such as electromagnetic energy can break the speed limit

[ Electric signals can be transmitted at least four times faster than the speed of light using only basic equipment that would be found in virtually any college science department.
Scientists have sent light signals at faster-than-light speeds over the distances of a few metres for the last two decades - but only with the aid of complicated, expensive equipment. Now physicists at Middle Tennessee State University have broken that speed limit over distances of nearly 120 metres, using off-the-shelf equipment costing just $500. ]

According to the special theory of relativity, no material particle can move faster than light in free space. Any massless particle like that particle of light the photon, move with the same speed as the speed of light in free space.
The special theory of relativity has never been proved wrong so far by any experiment. So, we can safely say that the speed of light is the ultimate limit of speed by any material particle.

The limit of speed of material is the speed of light.
The speed of light in vacuum is a constant and it is not a limit of something.
Other than matter there is only energy and energy is transmitted with the speed of light in vacuum.
If any thing goes faster than light in vaccum it is neither energy nor matter.

No you can go faster than the speed of light, theoretical particles known as tachyons travel faster than the speed of light. In fact the speed of light is relative, if you were travelling 10m/s slower than the speed of light then to you light would just look like its going 10m/s. So it is definetly possible to go faster that light, the only problem is that human beings are not capable of doing it.

According to the present understanding and as per the currently accepted and proven scientific theories, yes !
Iam talking speed achieved by matter and of useful signals.
(However in Quantum theory, faster than light stuff do happen, such as wavefunction collapse when quantum entangled, but they cannot be used for sending useful signals, atleast as of yet)

No, there is the speed of thought which moves faster than time itself. Example: Have you ever seen something and felt that you had dreamed it before? I believe that the dream imagery is the result of seeing something that feels similar to or resonates with the dreams content or theme. the image seen is then uploaded some how back in time and used in the dream remembered.
