Lets see. 10 out of 5 marriages in this country end in divorce. I did NOT say that backwards. The point is that nobody takes marriage seriously anymore. NOBODY! It's only used as a way for a woman to get money from a guy she doesn't like anymore. Kinda like hooking only the judge pays her more whereas the hooker tells him up front how much money she wants. It's not OK to cheat. If society doesn't care about marriage, and will accept divorce like the return line at Wal-Mart then frankly my dear who gives a damn if He or She is "SEEING" someone. Their interest in each other was gone (no matter what you think) a long time before he "SEEN" someone else. You should mind your own bz-wacks anyway. Unless it was a three way kink marriage. It could be he's cheating on your friend...or it could be they're discussing the weather...it could be anything! Until you get to the bottom of this, you will just get "it could be". Stop speculating and start investigating. I'm sure it is such a torture not knowing what has been going on. The husband is never going to admit if he is guilty and surely all his answers will be dubious. Try sneaking up on him...such as checking his phone and the call logs while he is in the bathroom. To put a stop to this speculations, try and follow him one time and maybe you will get your answer. It is one thing to be suspicious but it is another to be jumping to conclusions.

My opinon is .. ur friend's husband said these, not to upset the wife. U can said he is trying to make the 'fire' as low as possible.
The truth is... ur friend's husband is cheating her.. and ... seeing a gal for 5 months. Whatever the opinion, the best thing is "Stay out of other pple personal life". It is best U dun involve in the discussion of their relationship, even is that she is your friend. U can lend an opening ears to her 'complaints', definitely not a good idea to get involve. Just stay out.
