The only difference between the 2.0GHz white Macbook and the Black Macbook is that it has a larger hard drive. A $200 feature yet for only 40 gigabytes. I have the white Macbook, my only issue with it is that my palms rest on the sides of the touchpad and sort of rub into it leaving a slight discoloration on it. This came be resolved though with vinyl decal type stickers that cover this area and protect it. The same thing will happen to the black Macbook however might not show as much.

It is mostly a style issue.

While will not show fingerprints the way the black does. The black is seen as more professional or cool by some.

You can use the Apple store to mix and match the standard configurations so that you can see what options exist and how they are priced.

As long as both models do what you want in terms of speed and memory then it will be a decision based on price vs. style.

Get the white because it is not worth the extra for the black
