It's probably only one of two things: an abscess or a hernia. There is one other possibility but its more rare. The other possibility is a bot fly larvae under the skin. I'd recommend taking your rabbit to the vet. None of the problems are a serious concern (meaning you don't have to ambulance rush your rabbit to the vet), but it would be a good idea to get it checked out in the next 3-4 days. Your vet should be able to tell the difference between the three as long as your vet is a halfway descent vet.

I disagree with the one person that stated it is mastitis. Male rabbits do have nipples, but mastitis is caused by an infection of the mammary gland. That occurs in females normally when a litter is abruptly pulled off her and she is producing a lot of milk. The milk can get stopped up inside the mammary gland an go bad inside it and cause an infection. In that case you would need a strong antibiotic, but since a male doesn't even produce milk I seriously doubt you are dealing with mastitis.

You can't go prescribing antibiotic without knowing what the problem really is. Antibiotic won't cure a hernia or an infestation by a bot fly larvae.

If it is an abscess, the vet will likely lance the abscess and drain it, then prescribe or give it antibiotics.

If it is a hernia, he may decided just to leave it be. Or he could do surgery on it and sew the hernia up.

If it is a bot fly larvae, he'll probably try to extract the larvae, making sure not to pop the larvae in the process. The fluid from the larvae can be very bad to the rabbit.

Even male rabbits have tit nipples. It is very rare but even a male rabbit can get mastitis just as a female can. If this has happened the tit will be swollen from normal size and have a white top to it as if it looks almost like a blister. To me it sounds from your description that this may very well be the case. If so then it will have to be treated with a round of anti-biotic prescribed by a good vet.

Even some male rabbits can have some sort of.. Nipple.

It may be a tick?
May just be a scab... check to see what it is first... if its always been there. if Not. Take him to the vet.

if its always been there, then no dont take him to a vet. but if it wasnt it might be something serious, but most likely not. i have no experience with rabbits whatsoever, but i do reccommend you take it to a vet just in case.

probably something called an abcess. it's not that serious but it does have to be drained, i have done this myself, with my rabbits, but unless you have a ton of experince i would have a vet do it. he should be fine
