On the contrary I'm discovering more of my true self as here I can be myself & don't have to pretend & fear being judged or rediculed
well I get the occasional thumbs down, but I can live with it

I did it once when I was 17 on a dating site, I said I was 21 and that I had a job with a six-figure salary. It didn't work out so well b/c when people asked what I did I said I was an investment banker, when in all reality I had no idea what an investment banker was and people were asking me about loans and shiit and I had no idea what the hell to do so, I then said I found some1 and got the hell of the site!

I think there are occasions in life where I pretend to be someone I'm not. I'm not always as nice as I act. Sometimes I want to tell someone off, but I have to work with them, so I smile, and walk away. Forced graciousness.

Not here but in some forum site. I can be here in Yahoo Answer for months or even for years. How long can I pretend? Wherelse for forum site, once the discussion topic end, I can pull out and be myself again.

No its not worth it because you may start turning into that person and sometimes people that you love may find out. Don't do it i went through that and my life was destroyed.
