They're ruining and threatening our society, and since violence is increasing, we need to put our foot down. Unstable and violent people will breed kids in unstable environments and more often than not they will turn out the same way and the cycle will continue. If we are so tolerant of fatherless homes, then why don't we at least deport the trouble they have caused?

Oh wait, I'm being JUDGEMENTAL and INTOLERANT, stupid me.

The transportation of criminals outside of this country can only take place if the criminal is not a citizen of the United States, and if the deportation is done according to due process of law.

Two hundred and fifty years ago, Great Britain used the vast expanses of Australia as a penal colony, but this was allowable under international law since at the time it was administered by Britain. For the most part, the "criminals" sent to Australia were Irish nationals who were protesting British rule of Ireland.

Since the U. S. has no other option, we must keep our citizens in this country, whether law abiding or not, until another country agrees to let them in.

Oh, yeah, let's deport the violent ones back to their home countries. That will make EVERYTHING better, right? WRONG. Sending them back to their home countries sounds like a good idea, but then, all we'd be doing is creating an even more violent environment for the locals already looking to escape. And just where do you think they'll go?

We need to help fix other countries so people wouldn't HAVE to flee violent homelands. Simply deporting the violent criminals is not going to help.

Your question is LOADED and I'm salivating at the bit to answer all parts of it!

Yes, the cycle continues onward and downward!

Yes, we have "fatherless homes"...thank Women's lib for that!

I suggest all these kids be sent to Rosie O'Donnel who's so vociferous over this issue.

No, you are not judgemental and intolerant, and certainly not stupid.

You want answers....I have answers.

About one percent of the U.S. population is incarcerated, and that's only a few million people.

Correctional and Penal System are big business, they employ lots of people...people who would be unemployed had there still been such things as "Father Knows Best", or the "Ozzie and Harriets".

The demented society we now inhabit is actually good for business, as perverted as it seems.

Just follow what I do every single day, and the stock market will tell you how right all this wrong crap going on is.

Because, my inquisitive friend, it's all good for business.

I don't like criminals, I never was one, and I sure as he!l paid my child support payments and then some!

I don't like to see so many fatherless homes, and I don't like Rosie O'Donnel (the jerk criticized the late Anna Nicole Smith just hours before she died, now what's she got to say...that fat, old.....)

As you can see, I'm very aggitated over all this mess you mentioned, but it all boils down to business, and unfortunately, this is how business works.

Three million people incarcerated, jails overflowing, detention centers packed, and now they need to rely on ankle bracelets...all spells big business.

And the cyle continues...you have no idea how pathetic our families are now! I know, I see it every day!

You gave a truly GREAT QUESTION, one that everyone should be made aware of.

FYI...It's not that crime is increasing, but it is true that prisons are overcrowded. The reason is, the current model of deterrence is incarceration, obviously it doesn't work, but that's what the courts do now, do a crime, do the time.

This are a few states that are transporting some of their prisoners to other states where the prisons aren't overcrowded and the state government is paying the other state for housing the prisoner. In other words we as taxpayers in at least California and Hawaii are paying for this.

You aren't being judgmental or intolerant. Crime is intolerable as a whole.

The best solution is EXECUTE the bums. That way, no upkeep, no food or Dr. bills, no workout facilities to make stronger more dangerous criminals, no crime schooling (learn how to be a worse criminal), no prison gangs or violence, no overcrowding, less recidivism, more reasons to not be a criminal, fewer victims.
The best way to cut crime is for citizens to carry guns with them everywhere.

We are doing just that. Although it's at the moment considered politically incorrect, many of the soldiers in Iraq are there because they had a choice, go to the military or go to jail. Some will get their feathers ruffled over this but it is a matter of checkable facts.

Yes you are. but no one can blame you afterall thats your opinion and everyone is entitled with it. We must act morally and not only justice. In catholic teachings, Bible reading: (in essence) the creator shall not destroy its being even the whole world is filled with evil and hatred for his patience, love, understanding, humility and the faith of some can save his fellow being.
