In tea-industry terms, CTC stand for Crushing, Tearing and Curling machines. It is a advanced machines which combines all the stages of tea-processing into 1. Earlier, tea used to be processed in 5 stages -- Withering, Rolling, Fermentation, Drying (or Firing) and Sorting. Cost to company. it includes all the expenses incurred by the company for the specific employee. it includes Basic salary, all the allowances like HRA, transport, Food, etc and also Provident fund which is 12 % of the basic contributed by the company.
CTC is not the inhand salary you get every month because from CTC PF, professional Tax and income income tax is deducted every month. income is only deducted if your salary is higher than 100000 per annum.
