This is a great question.Pip was a great, great player,on defense he was a pit bull and on offense he could score from anywhere.Even without Mike he almost went to the finals and almost won league MVP.A couple players come to mind, T-Mac(very similiar, but nowhere near Scottie defensivly), Tayshaun Prince(probably most similiar overall, but I can't see him leading the team in all catagories) as crazy as it may sound, the player I always thought reminded me most of Scottie was Grant Hill. He(in his prime)could play shutdown D and could score anywhere..and just like Scottie lead his team in all catagories. But if your asking about players who are in there prime today, I will prabably say Tayshaun, same build, same defensive tenacity and can score in transition like scottie. If Tayshaun can iron out some of his offensive kinks then we will see the next Pip.

Le Bron James - just like scottie he had good ball handling skills but not enough to be a point forward player though, he is a pure all around forward with nice dribbling skills. but he can be a point forward in the future. although scottie is all about finesse le bron is power...and both are good shooters from the outside and perimeter. both guys have long reach wingspan making them effective defensive players, scottie is a team player while le bron should learn to pass the ball sometimes, but standing as a leader for his team you know that he wanted to take the final winning shot.

I can't believe noone has said Josh Howard. He is on a playoff caliber team playing second fiddle to a star (Dirk), but can score, play hard D, and take the ball to the rack. How could it be Carmelo when he is the far and away #1 guy on his team?! Its not LeBron, you'd have to be an idiot to think that. And Odom is too tall, does not play strong enough D or shoot well enough to be pippen. Its Josh Howard, hands down.

It would have to be Lebron James. Like Pip, King James is a great passer and a smooth ballhandler and most definitely can shoot. What he lacks, however, are the skills which gave Michael and the Bulls that added EDGE to win those titles in the 90's - perimeter defense and ability to shut down the opposing teams' scorers. Yeah, Lebron still has to learn how to play defense.

Definatly Lamar Odom
he is a point foreward
which is a very important role in Jackson's triangle
Pippen played with Jordan
Lamar plays with Kobe
Lamar can guard the big post and the smaller SF
He will over power the SF and blow right past the Big guys
Watch last years playoffs when they played the suns
shawn marion could not guard LO wat so ever
Lamar is pretty much unguardable right now

I'd say Lamar Odom and Shawn Marion
Lamar
because his physique (Long arms, passing abilities, conditioning, etc)
Marion
because he rebounds like Scottie, passes, scores

Carmelo Anthony. About the same height and position, both great scorers and team players, have an All-Star sidekick, play well under pressure, takes their teams to the playoffs

No one.
Scottie Pippen's greatest skill was to play along side Michael Jordan. Since Jordan is now retired no current player can claim to have his "skill".

Dwayne Wade would probably be the best comparison -- a guy who plays bigger than his size, has hops & athleticism, distributes well, and plays solid D when needed. Shawn Marion has similar versatility, but doesn't pass as well.
