Personally I'm a guy who don't really like strip clubs. The reason is really because I prefer to touch. I really don't get the point of a lap dance in a strip club. I think it's more of a foreplay thing. Let's also keep in mind that many women go to strip clubs. There is no proof that married men go to strip club more than unmarried men.
I guess for men, it's sort of a fantasy world. If a man masterbates to another woman other than his wife, does that mean he doesn't desire his wife? I certainly don't think so. Perhaps most men will be embarassed for their wives to see their wild side so they unleash in a dark strip club.
What about the women who dance in the clubs? Are they all exhibitionists? I think most of them look at it as a job and most men look at it as entertainment. I don't think they're pervs. The men who kindnap and rape little girls are pervs and molesters.
It is entertainment and there is nothing wrong with that.

It is different for different men. I can see you are ignorant with your own summation. I used to go with my wife to be entertained. I remember when strip clubs had really talented dancers from all over the world. Most clubs these days are just non talented women claiming to be working their way through college. What a joke. Alot of woman do it to support their drug habits and promote private prostitution. Men go for entertainment, some are lonely, some are shallow and easily entertained, etc. I don't care for the types of women that work there. I hate bumming women wanting money for overpriced drinks, jukeboxes or stupid conversation. This is very complex and for you to ask and be judgemental is just ignorance. It is ignorant to think it is just men's responsibility in this. Women are often just trashy and choose this way and are not exploited but exploit men with their lewd behavior and lack of self worth. Some are above all this and are just entertained. Some women are truly talented at what they do in clubs and some men go to just watch and be entertained. Go take a nap troll. There are different levels of clubs, types of women working there, types of men that go there, different types and levels of entertainment too. Most strippers are gorgeous women who cater to men's fantasies, and my guess is anyone who has a problem with this doesn't fit into the above category of women. (gorgeous male fantasy).
Especially attractive to married men as wives often become non sexual, or let themselves go once married, they don't necessarily want a divorce, but they are still men with healthy appetites.

I think there is fear on the part of the married men. Fear that they are less desireable as they age. Fear of open communication with their wives about their wants and needs in the bedroom. Fear that their wives will think they are strange or sick.

Those of you that say it isn't disrespectful for married men to go to these places, I disagree. I think,-no-I know in my heart, that it is itself a form of infidelity.

Another thing. Some of you are painting strippers as either hardworking or drug users/hookers. Not all these girls go into this line of work voluntarily. Much the same as pornographic movies or prostitution. Many are tricked into situations they can't see a way out of, many are hooked on drugs because someone got them using. Many are controlled by violence and threats and annihilation of their self-worth.

If there were no customers to entertain, there would be no strip-clubs.

What about our daughters? Do we want them stripping? Do we want them valuing themselves based on what others can take from them? Do we want our sons to hide from their realities by gratifying their bodies 'pleasures'? Do we want our sons valuing others based on what pleasures are to be had through them?
What will happen when they get "old"? Will they lose all value, and all ability ti cope with the world?

Just because something is 'enjoyable' does not make it a good thing to do. Chocolate tastes great, and now is shown to have good-for-me qualities. But if I eat too much chocolate, I'll get sick and fat. Eating too much chocolate is a perversion of a good thing.

It is the same with sex. It is a good thing, that feels great, and has many good-for-me benefits. The perversion of sex is when it becomes a big focus of someones life, when it is outside of a marriage, and when it is objectifying of either gender. It becomes bad for you. Sex being a major focus of someones life may lead to promiscuity, obsession and addiction-resulting in divorce, job loss and so on. Sex outside of marriage lends itself to venerial diseases, unwanted pregnancies, divorce, emotional difficulties, and promiscuity. Objectification of either gender can lead to abuse, cruelty, 'using' people for their own pleasure, rape, treating people as a means to an end. None of these are good for us physically, mentally, emotionally or socially.
