I have a 2002 firebird v6 automatic 73,000 miles. Recently my car has been acting funny. While I am driving my car will struggle (it almost jerks) every once in a while. It also seems hard for it to change to the next gear, it does the same skiping then. Any soultions? Any Diagnosis? Any Suggestions?

Sounds like a fuel injector problem.

If you don't, because most people don't, get a fuel injector cleaner and put it in your gas tank. Or, you could fuel up with Chevron. Keep in mind that cheaper gases contain impurities which clog the fuel injector over time. After 73000 miles, you would notice this. You could also have someone inspect that system, check the timing, and the spark plugs. It sounds like the fuel isn't powering your engine, unless of course the jerking is related to shifting, in which case you should have your transmission examined. Many reputable body shops will inspect and even adjust your tranny for free.

I'm not a mechanic, but I would do this:
Go to Checker's or some place like that that does free computer checking and tell them the problem.
One, they'll have good solutions.
-Probably fuel injector cleaner to start.
-Is your engine problem light on? I think your model car should have a plug-in that they can do for free that gives a computer print out on what the car's computer is complaining about;
When you put in the cleaner, do a long run at higher rpm's on the freeway for a drive, to help clean the gunk out.
If it's really cold where you are, also or instead put in HEET, a gas line antifreeze. Water condenses in the gas tank if not kept full all the time, and can clog the gas line.
You could have a dirty gas line filter, too. The guys at Checker, or whatever are good at helping - Or suggesting a good mechanic.
Oh, and be sure to check your wheelwells for any debris, pedestrians, or wheelchairs or the like, that might be causing drag.

no longer a lot any more beneficial, with the way emissions are and the reformulated gasoline you do not have problems with carbon enhance as a lot as vehicles used to. yet such issues as gasoline injection, engine administration platforms fairly a lot eliminated what occurred to grandpas old huge block. I keep in mind attempt using this old grand marquis that had a carb with a 460 lower than the hood. i ended the motorcar in the line, then informed my chum to seem out the lower back window as I floored it. i needed to work out if it had a touch carbon, nicely it had plenty and that i advise when I STOMPED IT TO the floor, this wide CLOUD OF BLACK Carbon POURED OUT THE TAILPIPE. the guy in the back of us actual became on his headlights at midday to pass through the cloud. for sure, it ran tremendous, so we offered it. some vehicles enhance carbon deposits that must be bumped off. different vehicles do no longer. preserving sparkling oil, sparkling gasoline i exploit chevron tremendous unleaded with techron. and sparkling air filters can pass a lengthy way in preserving your motorcar in solid operating situation. a effective lengthy force on the parkway with the occasional not uncomplicated acceleration can help save each and every thing operating properly waiting for action.

The first thing I would check is the spark plugs and wires, factory ones are rated for 100,000 but (never) last to that, and what you are describing sounds like a engine miss....very easy and cheap to fix, and always the first place I look....

Kvo, You defined the problem well. If you haven't already,I'd suggest you check your owner's manual for any maintenance that may've been overlooked. A pound of prevention is worth about $5.00. Good Luck !

Give it a 10 second shot of laughing gas. Will clear it right up. Garanteed to clean out that combustion chamber.
