I've asked this same thing. It's okay to show something disgusting like someone getting their head chopped off, but showing a beautiful nude woman is evil. Serious double standard.

ha! I have often wondered that myself... Weird set of standards the TV moguls have.. They show everything from Iraq in vivid full frontal color and all, but you wont see a flash of a butt... loooool

but to answer your question seriously, i think it has something to do with religious fanatics holding the belief that God's most beautiful creation is evil to view.
