Crap. He was at work all day and never mentioned it. I gave him his card when he came in. I'd planned for us to eat without the children by candle light but when he still made no mention other than thank you when i gave him his card i made our dinner with the kids. I finally got a card and a toblerone at about 6.15pm by which time i was totally fed up with the whole idea and didn't want anything to do with it.
I sound a bit like a spoiled brat now.. lol.. but we've been together less than 3 years. The first valentine's day we went away for the weekend to a lovely hotel, last year i got a card and flowers and a lovely day, this year it just seemed like an afterthought. It's not the presents, i don't care about them, it really is the thought that counts and there wasn't much of that at all.

Stunk. No gift, not even Happy Valentine's Day except by step-daughter. Spouse says broke, but it's the little things that matter, from a female perspective of course. He did vacuum and do dishes yesterday. Thought I was going to have a heart attack. Everything is always left up to me no matter what. So I guess I got mine a day ahead, because he felt bad he couldn't do anything. Think that is true love?

My husband came home early from a business trip and had booked a romantic dinner in a restaurant but I have a really bad cold so we stayed at home and he made prawn curry. He brought me three bunches of red roses and some Ralph Lauren perfume though which made up for it.

Unplanned evenings are always the best in my opinion. Mine was not boring, first I am single at the moment, and second I had an idea which of my single mates would want to get together and celebrate singleness.

It was amazing... I have never been so happy in my entire life as I was today and am still. I really hope you have a good night and week to make up for the lack of excitement!!!

They are a lot more romantic when they're not planned. I did the whole bubble bath with rose pedals, but it was a little expected and ackward. V-day is over rated.
