Yupchagee- As I understand it tempature and heat are not exactly the same, tempature is the speed of the molecules moving, heat is the speed of the molecules moving X the number of molecules. So even though there is more heat with more fuel the tempature is the same and jet fuel burns at a lower tempature than steel.

What's your heater made of, dude? The hottest jet fuel...er, I mean kerosine can burn is 1800 degrees F.? I'd get one made of steel, gotta have a 3000 degree fire to melt steel.

probably your gas injection tube is worn out, so the hole is wider, causing fuel, probably gas at the time out of the hole is fed extra than it should be, makeing fire to be bigger than it should be, so greater temp. burning it self up, best thing is to get rid of it, because it will give too much carbon mono oxide and can kill you if used inside with window closed.

Well, if your using jet fuel which is a refined Kerosene of much higher octane in your heater, it just might do that...

Several things you should do.
1) limit the amount of fuel. Thousands of gallons is too much.
2) Use a smaller heater. Dozens of stories is too much.
3) Don't try to burn all the fuel at once.
