that's out of line. as soon as people start complaining, he realised he made a BIG mistake and had to apologise.

it's unnecessary, to be honest.

It's one thing to have your opinion and express it in an appropriate manner. He's totally entitled to him opinion, but the way he went about it was so so so wrong. Hate is a strong word and boy did he use it.

Personally I don't agree with him. What someone does in their personal life is not my business as long as it's not causing harm to themselves or someone else (i.e. spousal/child abuse, substance abuse). I played sports in high school and later on found out that girls I was teammates with were gay or bisexual. Was I wondering the whole time if they were checking me out? No. Because I knew we were there to play ball and that was that. I think it's ignorant and close-minded to make a statement like that. I'm sure Hardaway would've been pretty ticked had one of his teammates been racist and made a comment that he refused to dress in the same locker room as an African-American person. But I guess to some people that just doesn't compare. To me, it's no different then being racist. It's just another kind of hate.

I am against in what Hardaway did. He shouldn't have said what he did, he only caused pain and trouble. There are some things you just keep to yourself in those types of situations. Now, I am not against what he said only because it is his right as an American, and a human being to think what he wants. Who am I or any of us to tell him his opinion is wrong? What makes ours right? Its only the opinion of one man in a crowd of millions, lets try to forget this and just move on.

Man Tim Hardaway was way out there, it is one thing to say I wouldn't want a gay in the locker room, quite another to say I hate gay people! He will not win the political correctness award for that "homophobic bigotry".

One- I disagree with tha man completely...

That said, that man has the internal fortitude to stand up an speak on his opinion. Thats his right in this country.

Now just think HOW MANY people in the country (let alone the NBA) agree with his completely but would NEVER say so out loud.

The man may be a homophobe, but he is not a coward.

("I hate gay people." Cot Damn! My jaw hit the floor!))

I am against them. He can hate gay people all he wants but instead of saying, I hate gay people, he could have said something a little more subtle. Why couldnt he have said, I am really incomftorable around gay people or I dont really like hanging out with gay people?
