No, as long as you didn't miss any of the regular pills, you won't have a problem. The placebo pills are there merely to help during your period. Just keep on your regular schedule and continue with the normal pills and you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If you are still worried, go talk to your doctor and in the mean time you can always use condoms!

Hi Brandy--The reason that you will not get pregnant is really simple. The bc pills trick ur body into thinking--via hormones, that u r already pregnant thereby closing the door to all new comers, pardon the very bad, unintended pun! Anyway, a placebo is a PLACEBO. No effect. What it will do is throw ur cycle off & truthfully ur the only who'll pay for that with extended crankiness from ur body (except maybe ur bf ;)

No, the placebo pills don't do anything.
I know (and I used to) just skip the placebos and then every four months or so take them so I'd have a period. It's the same idea behind the new birth control pill seasonale. But make sure you talk to your doctor before you start doing that :)

You're probably fine. I was talking to a labour and delivery nurse and she said you can skip the placebo pills altogether if you want to miss a period, like if you're going on vacation or something like that. Probably not a good idea every month, but in terms of birth control, you're okay.

you can skip the placebo pills. just dont skip the hormone ones. if you miss even one of those then you are at risk for getting pregnant. ive known girls to skip the placebo ones just because they didnt want their period.

NO bc that is exactly what they are placebo pills Actually doing what you did may actually make you skip your period...atleast that is the advice a dr gave me to skip my periods

nothing is 100% except no sex. But just jumping to the next set of pills will not make you get pregnant but will lessen your period but that's not good ether because your body needs to clean itself out.
