Does L.A. really need another team? I mean have the fact that they're tried this several times before not persuaded people enough that it's probably not a great option.
Plus I'm an east-coaster, why would I want to watch another west coast game that's going to stretch into the middle of the night when I have to work the next morning?
Plus the NFL is fine as it is. The Saints are staying in New Orleans and I certainly don't want to see another expansion team when the divisions are pretty well set as they are.

The LA City Council insists that any NFL team would have to play at the Coliseum. While the Coliseum works for USC, which is in that community, the idea has not appealed to the other owners who would be approving of a move or a new franchise in LA. There is a proposal to put an NFL team in Anaheim adjacent to Angel Stadium, but the Rams failed to sell out the stadium when they played in Anaheim. As a Patriots fan, I like being able to see my favorite team with some frequency from Southern California. If we had a team or two here, as we did 10 or 12 years, the team probably would not sell out (the Raiders didn't at the Coliseum and the Rams didn't in Anaheim), two of the three Sunday games would be blacked out. LA football fans come in two varieties, USC and UCLA. Regardless of what Colin Cowherd says. The statement that half of the population of Southern California is from New York was either hyperbole or insanity.

The NFL, but not the fans. They won't support the team when it is there. They are like a typical Stereotypical Liberal in that they think they are ENTITLED to it. Well we are the second biggest media market so why should we have to go to the games, buy the merchandise, or help with paying for Stadiums or upgrades. We DESERVE it, whether we support them or not, because our Media Market.
TitanIE I don't know WHICH U.S. you live in but the one I live in has no "OFFICIAL LANGUAGE". English is the unofficial Language. As in it is the PRIMARY Language but was never required, although back in the olden days immigrants WANTED to learn English when they came here. That's another story though.

I think there's too many hands in the cookie jar, which makes it difficult for everybody. I would like a team here, but not in the City of Los Angeles, maybe on the San Gabriel Valley.

Who cares, how many teams does cali need. How about a team in south dakota or iowa. The whole state would back them. Football is meant to be played in the cold not sunny california.

I don't want it. Not cause I have anything against football but I don't wan't tax payers footing the bill for the club, or the stadium If the club can pay its own way fine. Fans payed as high as $200,000.00 for special seating at the SB. If they want it then fine. But don't saddle the common tax payer with the problem of paying the jocks their multi million dollar contracts.

I would love to, but not in the city of LA, nor San Gabriel Valley (I doubt is going to be in SGV). Probably in Anaheim, but please, not in the L.A...traffic is bad enough already. But again, L.A is not exactly a sports city. Even surfing sucks around here...
Mike: I respect your inputs, but "Diablos"...please, can you come up with something better than that? and not in Spanish. I speak Spanish fluently, but really, this is the US, and its official language is English.

Colin Cowerd from ESPN radio 710 said it best about a team in LA....
Half the people in LA are from NY. The other half...half of them arent from LA. It's what makes LA such a great sports town. A mix of different fans of different teams.
I would love to have a team here...not moving from another city..but expansion with two - four more cities..
Las Vegas - GREAT area, perfect weather, Sam Boyd has good potential, and they would spend the money...but...because the NFL has their rules against teams in casino-based towns (where casinos and gambling are main source of revenue..we wont see it..)
Columbus - a great foot ball town...like Texas, has two teams, and LOTs of killer fans
Los Angeles - I dream of this day. To hell with the Raiders...or the Rams. The Los Angeles "Diablos" would be so perfect...
Orlando - another middle market city...like Vegas..with LOTs of potential. great weather, touristy area...
What you guys think?

hell no, especially not my Chargers.
and sweetie_tdp: the games wouldn't be any later on the east coast. The games are live. If a west-coast team is at home, the games arn't later than 1pm. (And if it's a S or MNF, and it starts @ ~5:30, that'd be 8:30 for you --but if it was an east coast game, it would still be at 8:30 your time ---no difference)
