If it's cheap, it's fake.

Take it to a jeweler or someone familiar with them. The fakes are so easy to spot it isn't funny. The movement inside should be marked Gucci, the emblem on back, serial number, model number, the buckle is marked the crown is marked, etc. Easy to figure out. The weight also.

It should come with a serial number on it, and papers. You can always verify the serial number with the warranty people with Gucci. They should have a record of numbers. Most Hi-end brands have those numbers and certificates for or this reason. Even Sunglasses.

If you buy it in a respected jewelry store, then its real. If you buy it from some guy standing on the street corner, then its probably fake.
