my ipod has a lock sreen on it and i want to know the old commonation to it how do i find it

iTunes will unlock it and allow you to reset it.

If it's the screen lock, all you need to do is sync it to your primary iTunes program (the one that you first synced it with), eject it from iTunes, and it should be unlocked for you. If it's the max volume lock, you're pretty much screwed unless you feel like doing a reset to factory settings (which needs to be done from iTunes).
