I love MCR. I just think that once a band hits mainstream people like to pick them apart with gay rumors, lies, and insulting their music. The new album is critically acclaimed. Not that many people take them seriously because people are more interested in what color Gerard's hair is or who they are dating or marrying. Also there are poseurs who will insult MCR on here, but while they are typing "MCR sucks" they got "Famous Last Words" blarring on the stereo. Every other MCR question I see on here is "Who is the hottest MCR member" "Is Gerard Gay" "Are Mikey and Alicia getting married yet" Its never about the music any more. Thats why people are losing interest in them, they dont wanna be associated with a band that most fans are 16-year-old fan girls and poseurs, which couldn't be further from the truth. Who cares how "hot" they are, does that affect their talent? I don't think so. They do create great music, and they have gotten fans out of depression. They didn't sell out (well their concert sell out because everyone wants to go) They got popular. thats all.

I completely agree. My Chemical Romance, is one of the most talented bands, I have ever heard. They write amazing lyrics, and ARE talented musicians. I have been a fan since "Bullets" also. They've grown so much as a band since then. They're also great role models. Some bands are all about sex,drugs,alcohol..ect. But these five, have overcome they're addictions, and been able to be very successful. They've actually earned it. As for being mainstream, they have been PUT into the mainstream. There's a difference of being put in the mainstream, and achieving the goal of being in the mainstream. The only reason they are in it, is because most people like "Welcome to the Black Parade", and it's all they've ever heard. The more people that listen to the one single, the faster they are going to be put into the mainstream. All because of ONE song. I suggest people listen to more then just the singles.
They have the potential to save people's lives.
Amazing band. Amazing music.

I know hundreds of people that love them, and though admittedly most of those people are wannabe emos, I do like them, and I'm even unashamed to say i think their new album is the best, I love the black parade, I even think it has some elements of queen in it, far more than MIKA as their guitar is the queeny bit. I hate it when people say bands 'sell out', just because a band is popular doesnt mean its not good - surely theres a reason why so many people like them. And btw, if you read kerrang, then you'd know that they get tons of awards.
I disagree with you saying that noone gives MCR a chance, the Black Parade was in the british album charts which is more than most emo-punk bands can say, and wouldnt you say that everyone who buys the album is giving them a huge chance.

I completely agree with you. My Chemical Romance has been my favorite band since I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love came out. I really connect with the music and lyrics, and I really do believe they saved my life. They are an incredible band. People I know judge them by what they wear or what label they are put into (emo). I get so tired of people never giving them a chance. I love all of their cds and songs. I can honestly say i have never heard a song by them i don't like. What annoys me most is when peopl call them "posers" or "sell outs"....... what does that even mean, exactly? I mean I know what a poser is..... but how are they posers? My Chemical Romance doesn't TRY to be follow any trend or be a certain band.... they always stay true to themselves. So how does that scream "poser"? Its really stupid, I think. And after they made the Welcome To The Black Parade album, I've heard people call them "sell outs". My Chemical Romance made a cd that they connected with. They weren't aiming for major radio play. They weren't looking for MTV time...... they made the cd that they wanted to make. and it is AMAZING and epic........ so sell out doesn't make sense either
Sorry for the long rant, but I get so frustrated. i'll always love them though......... and I'm sure they will always make great music as long as they have the fans like me and you.

I am right there with you. I love My Chemical Romance and how there songs actually have meaning. And now they have such a variety in there songs that it's hard for someone to not like there music. My friends either haven't heard of them or don't listen to them and they don't want to. I makes me upset sometimes that i even listen to there music but they don't give MCR a chance.
-and for all you people that come on here and bag on MCR...STOP because we dont go on your questions and make rude remarks about your fav. band because we have respect for them-

What do you imagine the hot My Chemical romance album is gonna be/sound like? properly all i'm declaring is they have not dissatisfied fan yet, why commence now?? Do you want Franks new look? no longer a large fan of the beard, ah yet human beings replace. Do you imagine that all the songs are gonna be brighter now because gerard loves married existence and is a father? Nah, gotta imagine of the followers. Plus after all the sh*t this is surpassed off to him. I say there's a hell lot more effective of darkness & revenge a waiting. Are you gonna pass over the fictitious memories of their songs and their make up and costumes? i think. no longer something like a guy in make as a lot as make females pass weak interior the knees. Do you think of their personalities are going to be different now that maximum of them are married and used to the rock and roll existence? i might want to say through the years they have replaced as Gerard change into once a alcoholic & everyones had crap to address. i do not imagine it may replace anymore then it has. Do you imagine that they are going to nevertheless be loopy and wild on level? properly I doubt he will be sitting on a stool. Do you imagine gerard will nevertheless kiss frank on level and call himself for the followers? (: properly he hasn't finished it presently. Too undesirable.

MCR rules!!!! I completely agree with you when you said that they make beautiful music. I think that people don't really realize the meanings of their songs. For example "Welcome to the Black Parade", people don't know how sad that song really is. I think that they are a very underrated band and should be well known throughout the world.

i adore this band
words can not express how much their music has gotten me through
i totally agree that people judge a band by their singles and it's wrong.
and if you'll notice most of the people who talk badly about mcr, are either people who listen to rap or people who listen to old rock

I'm totally in love with alot of the songs off of The Black Parade. I love "Cancer" and it sounds nothing like MCR. I think they are great and I would love to see them live.
