review a little each night-- it's the only way I've survived six aps this year. Set deadlines for yourself. Don't think about when things are due, but when you want to get done. Start your homework as soon as you get home, and then you'll have time for other things. Doing a little each night is the key-- that way, you don't feel overwhelmed.
I hate to say it, but it only gets tougher from here. Junior year was hard but this year (senior year), has been hands-down the worst. whatever you do, don't take 6 aps. it will crush your soul.
Creating good study habits helps, seriously. Try to get interested in the topics that you read about-- make connections, think critically about the material. If you're reading in the textbook, take notes, and make mental associations. It makes it a lot more interesting, and you might not hate it so much. Studying with friends also helps-- you'll stay more motivated, and won't have as many excuses for procrastination.
Aren't APs fun?
haha

There's a saying, you know, procrastination is the thief of time (I'm sorry I can't recall who said this). I think you should design a practical time frame of doing things for every day and try to follow what you've planned. Sometime you might find something impossible to finish due to anything, it's OK, just make a note for the cause and the way you think you'd cope with that in future. Keep doing like this regularly, then you'd know which priority you have to finish first and how long. In essence, keep cool and keep doing things as planned, do not rush or do anything in a hurry; if you can't finish it, be flexible and you can see the light and feel happier regarding completing each assignment. Take care and keep going.

i've proscrasinated my entire life and i'm in graduate school right now.
its horrible and puts you under a lot of unnecessary stress, so develop good studying habits early on and hopefully they will perpetuate.
what works best for me is i make a set schedule and won't allow myself to do things i want to do like watch tv, work out, etc until those things are done...kind of like punishing myself.
it usually works, but i've also realized that i write the best papers when under pressure, compared to when i try to finish things early...
so proscrasination might now always be so bad.

positioned electric powered alligator clips on the ends of your arms. Then, whenever you slack off, have somebody marvel the frickin' hell out of you! i might think of you would be doing issues in a prioritized vogue very right this moment flat.

do your homework somewhere where you dont have distractions at all. somewhere with no tv, no computer, and even leave your cel phone in your room or somewhere else. if you need your computer to do homework though, disconnect the internet while you do it.

You're smart and capable. You will be a success. Whine to your teachers and tell them how much you like them and maybe they will give you an extension on things you are late on. Get your parents involved, but not enough to make your teachers angry. See if you have ADD - it can look different for girls. Girls with ADD seem to space out more... lose track of time... Try doing your homework with a smart, non procrastinating friend... get a tutor... show your parents and your teachers that you're trying.. don't let it go - keep working on it.. I like you.
