Some people say that scientific proof is enough to prove anything. I disagree. Am I the only one? Do you really question your beliefs from both sides THEN decide? Or do you simply take what you hear to be fact and and there-fore it's not to be questioned? Give reasons for why either one is better.

I try to approach all problems and random moments in my life from multiple stand points. I'm a Virgo, it's in my nature.

I think more people should do this. I find so many disappointing answers on this site from people who fail to see multiple sides of the problem proposed and jump directly to a split second, surface level solution.

I question my beliefs everyday. It has enabled me to grow in many ways and to find a balance spiritually. This has helped me o see truths and understand the reasoning behind all religions from atheists to what is referred to "bible thumping" Christians.

I enjoy this mind state and wish more people would look into their beliefs and behaviors in a open minded why/why not and logical manner.

Unfortunately, most people tend to live up to the stereotypes because that is what they think they are supposed to do.

Logic is better than "proof". Science changes. DNA wasn't thought of 100 years ago, now it is fact. On and on and on. Until science can PROVE one way or the other about religion, then logic is the better device. Also, just the desire for it to be true that there is a high power, is enough justification to have a belief system, as long as your beliefs are forced on another.

I believe that if you do not know enough about a subject to be able to argue both sides of the issue intelligently, then you do not understand the issue well enough to even have a valid opinion.

Its either that or shuffling my prejudices and calling it thinking. I like to think and I hope that I am getting the most out of the puzzle solving mechanism that was bestowed upon me by the First Mind.

Looking at beliefs from both sides is an effective means of self and other checking. If there is reality how to get the best possible interpretation of it? It isn't necessarily so that logic is the best approach in all instances. It might be that you have to trance up and hang out waiting for that interesting informative perspective that logic couldn't give you. Then worry it with the logic.

I like Asami's approach too.

No you don't just take everything you hear as fact. That would be naive. On things that are scientific then you need scientific evidence. On things that are theoretical that's just another type of opinion. I do think it's good to question your beliefs periodically and see if maybe you're believing a falacy. The press always pumps out stuff everyday and as it turns out most of it can just be questionable as they have to meet their time deadlines and sell newspapers.

Emotionally speaking your question is stupid, so no Logic should not be applied to YOUR question because emotion answered it for me. LOL Besides Logic dictates that there are no absolutes and your question said "every" question. If someone says give me the first thing that comes to mind, there is no logic in the answer at all. So with that question logic could not apply thus disproving your assertion, nice try though!

God is not always logical. At least not as far as our own limited logics are concerned. And since science has proved that we use less than 10% of our brains I don't see how we can expect God to fit into our own limited conception of what logic is. That's why we must have faith. It's not "seeing is believing" but "believing is seeing."
