It seems everyone in the media is jumping on their bandwagon because of their recent winning streak and addition of webber, but no one seems to notice they've been beating up on bottom dwellers and getting spanked by good teams like the Jazz, Wizards (twice), and the Spurs in tonight's games. At best, webber hasn't hurt the team, but it's not like they needed him to beat cupcakes like the celtics. A lot of teams in the league have winning streaks, so it's nothing special.

Not really, the only team that can keep up with the Pistons in the East are the Washington Wizards and they have the best chance of advancing to the NBA Finals.

The way the east is this season, the Pistions have a terrific chance of making the finals. Then they just have to win four games, albiet probably four games against Dallas.
While I do agree that the top six teams in the west are probably all better teams, or at the very least, on par, they all will face much stiffer competition to even reach the finals.

Keep in mind that in MLB this year, the NL was terrible all year, but St. Louis still won it all...

No way.. I don't think they are overrated at all. You got to think of the depth and their defense. Plus the great pickup of C-Web, they are going to have a great run I think after the All-Star break to the end of the Season. I won't be surprised if they have the best record in the East, yeah they are the beast in the east. They will warm up, once the flow of the players gets going, just takes time after a fresh great player changes teams in mid-season for everyone chemistry to get flowing.

Nah I give that title to Cleveland Cavs because of this 'King' James.
