I wanna be a model?

Question

what are required to be an model?
Im asian and I know its going to be harder then a blond or a brown haired person but I belive There is beauty in every race.
Can somebody tell me the requirements to be a model?

I have tried to be a model before, and decided to leave it behind me but in the long run I learned alot. You know you do have to be active in school like stand out have good grades. Well that is if you are in high school they keep track of you grades and stuff they think that school is more important than anything.
I think thats good because you don't let go of school just because of your new job, having the best grades could also get you higher.
You really don't need to be very tall or very skinny. Only if you want to be a runway model then yeah u need to be 5'9 or taller and weight 120. they passed a new law that they don't want models that weight less than 120 because of girls that are becoming anorexsic.
What you do need is confidence, enthusiasm, and such skills that show you want it, and you will do anything to be there and be the best, try to stand out. about the rest no need to worry because once you get into the industry they pretty much take care of you, you get a photographer, hair stylist, etc.\
just go to local auditions if you hear of any if not try to find out if there are gonna be any. You'll probably have to drive somewhere kind of far just to get to an audition, but try to have atlest $300 dollars with you so you could get in as soon as possible.Or you could also go to modeling schools such as Barbizon, they show you how to do the the walk, the posture, pretty much eveything you need to know so don't sweat it. as long as you belive in urself you could do it.


Also you are going to need to have some cash for school, business cards wich require professional photographs- that are very expensive..

I think any modeling agency will observe you, all around, and what you need to know is that to be a model, you need to reflect your inner strength, just as much as how you look, on the outside. Don't be too caught up in how you look, weight-wise. By that, I mean, don't think that you need to weigh 90 pounds!
If you're physically active, look toned, and tanned, mabye that might be something that could stand out when doing your professional photos (for your application). You need to have a porfolio of your work (photos, work that you've done, that relates to modeling - if you've ever done any). Sometimes you only need to have that 'look' that is refreshing and unique, to capture the attention of the modeling agencies.
Every modeling agency requires different things from every woman, or man, who walks through their doors.
I think for the most part, as long as you're honest, have long-term goals, and have the drive to succeed in everything you do, then you have a good chance of getting your foot in the door, of a modeling agency.
It's also good to have goals, outside of being a 'model', too. Don't think that by walking into these agencies, that by saying you're goal is ONLY to be a model, is going to get you places. You need a back up plan. What do you want to do with your life? Is there a career out there that you're seeking, other than modeling?
When you see models, on the runway, most of them started off as models, and moved onto other things that they may have wanted to do, prior to becoming models.
There will come a time when you reach an age that modeling agencies will tell you, it's more difficult to stay being a model, because of your age, and that's when you need to have something to fall back on. This is a good thing to think about, before going into modeling, though. If you have a long-term goal to do something, outside of modeling, then it shows that you're willing to take on other challenges in your life, to succeed.

well for run way models you must be at least 5'8" and under 130lbs,thin. you must be confadent kind and willing to work longggggggg tedious hours think6:30 to 9:00 and start a $50 a day and work up good luck asian models are gorgeous!!!

i think you should have a height of 5'6 ..like antm(america's next top model.)some of them are fat..like diana!!you should just have a height of 5'6
