This last week i was playing poker with friends we decided to play blackjack and they agreed as me to be the dealer. I thought great house never loses, and the swings were sick id get up huge then id go in debt. It was only one deck and when I was at like 100 theyd bet like 10 a hand. For a while i was dealing just one player. what are some reasons of me going broke, do i need more than one deck, obviously a bigger bankroll would be good. What are some things i need to do to get the full advantage, i assume that if i was paying 3/2 blackjack in one deck play was bad, cause at the casino single deck bj pays 1/1. please let me know

You need to make sure that you were following single deck black jack rules to the letter. Read up on them, because one wrong move or paying out too much could fundamentally alter the 'house' edge you should have.

Also keep in mind that the house edge is a long term thing. The house can lose a fortune in a single evening. But over weeks and months they will always be ahead, which is why you don't see casinos closing down all the time.

I used to deal BJ in casinos, and the swings are unpredictable and dramatic. You've already received some good advice in making sure you stick to single deck rules if your dealing single deck. Also, shuffle before you get to low in the deck.

The other thing i'd recommend is watch out for your friends that raise their bets up towards the end of the deck. They might be smart enough to be tracking 10's and aces, and know they have a higher chance of getting a blackjack, and are raising their bets accordingly. This is what gives card counters an advantage, and is frowned upon and monitored by casino management.

BJ is a game played and loved by many because the odds are so close to being in the players favor. Worst games are only ~3.6% in favor of the house, and best are ~1%. So of course your swings can be huge..... see link below for more on odds.

You need to be playing against 3 or more players. That way, when you're dealing your cards you just have to beat more players than beat you. For example if you're playing 5 ppl, you just need to beat 3 and payout on 2.
