Notebooks and Laptops are the same thing.

If you are asking what "refinements" means in that internet shop, then it is just saying that the search was refined. I.E. you were searching under "notebooks" and you only wanted to see computers with 2.0Ghz processors. That would be refining your search.

I think that "refinements" is the specific details about the computer that make it come up on the screen to "refine the search".

To the right of the word "refinements" it lists the specifications about the product / its name.

They probably call laptops "notebooks" today because they are too hot to put on your lap and, I'm not sure, but somebody probably got burned and sued someone about this so they started calling them notebooks.

Yeah, I think it is pretty lame, too.

I have no idea why they do this. Same thing just like "ping pong" and "table tennis".

I guess they got the notebook name from a notebook. Imagine opening up a notebook sideways. It kind of pops open like a laptop would.

i dont really know but notebook and laptop is the same thing... but most notebooks are thinner
