An orange arrow lights up when I try to print. Help? It does have paper and ink. Whenever I try to print something, the printer thing on my toolbar will say it is printing even though nothing happens. Then about 2 minutes later it says there was an error.

Yeah, it doesn't even go through the motions when I try to print.

However, when I open the printer up, the cartridges go through the motions....

Yes, I checked the manual and tried the troubleshooting. Didn't work.

Read your printer manual! It will tell you what the light means!

Does the printer even go through the motions? I mean when you turn it on, does the print head move around?

If not, then it sounds like a mechanical problem. Check to see if its under warranty.

If it does move, then it is most likely a communication issue. Check the cable. Make sure it's plugged in and secure. If it's USB it can't be more than 15ft long.

I just ran into this problem. Turned out that there were to many programs of the same printer in the printer folder.deleted all of them (was only one printer in there) and reinstalled the software before plugging in printer to PC. Did a test page and it worked fine.Hope this helps.
