It is in the United States and that is a good thing because if you dont like it you can move to somewhere that you do like!

I grew up in PA and have lived in a few other places. There are lots of things that are good about PA. It has many different landscapes within a reasonable driving distance. You can participate in lots of sports because of the changing climate. It is has some good educational institutions. It is a blue state. ;) My family lives there.

I'm sure there are bad points too. No place is perfect, but the good thing is, if you don't like where you are, you can always pick up and go live somewhere else.

Drive through beer stores.

I live in a state where you can't even buy beer on Sundays, so I miss that about good old Pittsburgh.

I like the natural history museum. There is pretty good public transit. Some decent restaurants.

Can't knock the Amish.

Well....
You have to steer towards where most of the wealthy people are. Phili is nice, but east of Pittsburgh is very nice too. You just have to know the nice towns.
Its frankly only fun in PA if you have money.
