battery life was full, and it was not overheated either, also i was only opening simple yahoo page/weather.

Not enough memory for operation.Upgrade your memory or do less things at one time.

The usual causes for random shutdowns are:
1)Overheating triggers auto-shutdown to protect the CPU;
2)Memory module going bad;
3)Power supply going bad.

I would love to have known more about the issue, in order to help you better.

It could be possible that when your computer downloads automatic updates, it will automatically restart.

There may be some hardware issues, also.

I would contact your laptop manufacturer. It could possibly be a hardware malfunction, and you could get a free new laptop!

Check the power options settings in Control Panel. you may have it set to turn off at a certain time to save battery power.
