Why do we...?

care SO much about celebrities? About who they're with, what they wear, where they do, what they do, their personal problems. Why do we put them up out there, twist around their lives and care about it so much. Dont we have our own problems/lives 2 tend 2 and not worry about who Paris Hilton's new boyfriend of the week is?
