No, Valentine's isn't all about diamonds. Thats very nice that you got a card, rose and candle. Some people didn't get anything for V-day. So appreciate what you have rather than being upset about what you didn't get.

No, it's all about the chocolates. Diamonds are artificially expensive rocks (real cheap but stupid De Biers has a stranglehold on the ENTIRE market).
Oh, btw, does anyone know of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre? I wear black all day and mourn the loss of so many lives and I believe that those who are willing to ignore this fact and revel in their material possesions are cruel, ignorant, and spoild.

no diamonds---It is the diamond market that is funding terrorism and rebel groups in coutries such as Sierra Leone, Angola as well as groups such as Hezbollah. Not all diamonds are blood diamonds, but I don't ever want a diamond unless I can be garaunteed that it was not smuggled and will not be funding any terrorist groups.

we didnt even celebrate V-day. Hubby had to work, it was my sons Birthday and it was all about him. I think V-day has been way too commercialized. I'm waiting for a romantic dinner this weekend.
