Almost all websites. Every page is cached. You have to check your temporary internet files.
But some links wont work.
For example.
You can go to www.yahoo.com offline, because it is probably cached. But you can't go to www.yahoo.com/autos (not sure if that is a real link), if you haven't been there in the first place for your computer to even cache the page.
Also, your settings may not allow pages to be cached.
If you are using internet explorer, go to Tools - Internet Options, then look at the different tabs.
You should see some settings referring to cached pages, and pages, and history that are stored on your computer.
There pretty much is no purpose.

If you get an offline version of the newspaper on your laptop you can then view it on the bus/train to work. I guess it is a leftover from the days when internet usage was charged excessively by the hour and by the kb. So you would download a page or pages then disconnect your modem and read it.

making a web page off line is a method to reduce browsing expenses..you can make any web pages off line and view it later when you are not connected to the net..you can make any web page to view "off line" ..use "favourite" or " save web page" or "mark offline " options
