With older phones, batteries, and chargers, there was a chance that it could have a negative affect on the battery or phone. With today's technology, it won't hurt the battery or phone. The chargers will slow and eventually stop charging when the battery is full.

yeah if you do it all the time then the battery slowly starts to not work as well. i had a phone once that the battery used to last for a few days and i used to charge it all night every night, well after a year or so.. it wouldn`t even stay on for the whole day. so i suggest just chargeing it for about three hours.
[also it might depend on the phone. it was a few years ago and the phone was kind of old. so maybe it was just the old technology.]

the second answer is mostly right on unless you have an older phone with a battery with memory if its a newer lithium ion batt no its not a big deal as long as its on a home wall charger and not a car charger if you have chargers with regulators its not so bad in the car but one that continuosly pumps full charge from a rapid vehicle charger can damage the batt. like chargers from radio shack or walmart good rule of thumb is if the charger was less than 14.99 its not a good one with the regulator

no its not bad. Your phone will charge your battery full, then it will stop charging for awhile, and then start charging again.. just a cycle. It isn't going to damage your battery or overcharge it.
Read the manual for the phone (you can get it from the manufacturers website) and it will tell you the best charging techniques. Mine says I don't need to worry about it.

i might want to assert it isn't. I do it each and every now and again even as needed. yet as for the obsessive-compulsive telephone charger-ers of the global, my end might want to be that as for more than a number of rechargeable skill resources it isn't sturdy to fee them till the skill has lengthy gone "close to to E", in case you'll. If it really is a situation with attempting to come across a time to easily fee your telephone then you ought to guage the opportunities (and one, i wager, might want to be to fee in one day).
