Every state has variations on the law about minors, emancipation, so forth. In general, you are a minor until 18 or judged an adult by a court. Parents also have liability and responsibilty.
If a "minor" has the intelligence and maturity to take responsibilty for him/herself, they are becoming an adult. Those who are only concerned with doing what they want, are not adults... even if they are 40 yrs old.

Legal age is 18, 17 yr olds cannot be forced to "go back home". Under 17 can be considered a run away. Anyone with runaway in their house can be charged with a crime. As for as parental invasion, when they get their butts into trouble , they will be begging for Parental Invasion, to get their butts out of trouble and will be more than glad to crawl back home and beg forgiveness.

17 is still considared a minor in the USA. Until you are 18 you have no rights and your parents are still accountable for you. Thats the legal definition, but lets face it, parents can be a little strange about their children. One kids' parents may not be very strict once a 17 year old has graduated highschool, some may still be seen as a child. It depends on the parents.

i think it varies via state, yet generally in case you're the two under 18 then there must be below 40 8 months between your a while. except you're having intercourse whether, a relationship is criminal. the challenge right here is whether you're no longer having intercourse an person or parental parent who disapproves of the relationship would say you 2 are having intercourse to get you in hardship, so be careful. to no longer point out that there are some considerable adulthood proper ameliorations between 13 and 17. yet I won't flow on approximately that given which you basically asked related to the regulation. sturdy success figuring this out.

You are still a minor. You can drive with a valid license and work part time within the restrictions of state and federal laws.
You can apply to be emancipated from your parents by the court. It's not a good move unless you can prove that your parents are horrible and you can support yourself on your own.
It seems you just want to be treated like an adult. Speak with your parents to see if you all can come to a compromise about curfew and other issues that concern you.

A 17 year old has no rights to enter into contracts, to marry and other acts because he is still a minor unlike an 18 old who can legally act on his own as a person.

the only rights you have as a 17 year old that are similair to an 18 year old is that you have the right to have a license and hold a part time job. you cannot smoke, drink, have a full time job, or live away from your gaurdians or parents.

I do believe you can have sex with anyone within three years of your age... as long as they're 16+, this isn't a right that's specific to 17 yr olds but I thought it'd be an interesting sub-point.
