mark levine, a loudmouth right wing radio genius, uses the large snowfall as his proof global warming is a farce..

clearly he has no idea what he's talking about......and people defend this fool. harsh winters and hotter summers are exactly what global warming theorists are predicting, yet this dingaling has decided, from a position of ignorance, that this supports his laughable argument....

the fact this guy still has a show is disturbing

I agree with the guy who said it shouldn't matter. We should strive to clean up the planet and keep it clean regardless. Clean air, and clean water, and food that is not contaminated with chemical pesticides, and chemical fertilizers, and hormones, and antibiotics, and so many other nasty things!!! We should all care about each other and this planet, and make people and the environment the highest priority..much higher than greed and monetary profit!!!

Well, evidently not everyone believes the "theory of global warming", myself for one, so let me give you a few things to consider.

1. There have been multiple warmings and coolings of the planet for as long as there has been a planet. The plains states used to be covered by an inland marsh, and now they are a vast farming region.

2. Measurements of CO2 levels and temps have been recorded since the mid to later 1800's. The total recorded amount the increase has been is .6 degrees or 6/10 of 1 degree. Not a huge amount. Be honest with yourselves. Is it possible that the instruments used back then were not as accurate as the instruments used today? Do you think there may have been some error due to the technology of the day? Do we have instruments TODAY that measure with 100% accuracy?

3. One of the determining factors is there is artic ice melting, and the coasts are "supposed to flood." 2 points to this.

a. The vast majority of the ice in the artic is over water already, so the sea level is NOT going to raise by this ice melting. Put several ice cubes in a glass, then fill it with water to the rim. As the ice melts, the water does not run over the glass. Know why? Because the ice displaces an equal weight of water. The amount of ice over land isn't as significant as the amount over water, so won't have a large effect over sea level rising.

b. No one is announcing that the Antartic ice cap is actually increasing in size.

4. In order to confirm a theory, one must, first come up with a theory, then second, one must study the theory, then third, one must eather prove or disprove the theory. It isn't proven yet, otherwise EVERY scientist would sign on with the theory. Not all have yet, by far. The believers are stuck on the second part, the studying part and haven't moved to proving or disproving step yet. Once it's proven, all scientists with fall in line with the theory and it will then become fact. Until that happens, it's only a theory.

Well, I am moderate to conservative. I would say that the right has the ability and the right to criticise issues just as you do, and may very well be looking at evidence that is just as compelling as yours. You sir, are in no position to assert that someone who merely disagrees with you is ignorant on the subject. I would answer your question by asking how can you assume that you on the left have the right to assume that you are the sole holders of understanding and that because you believe it, that makes it right? I am astounded at the liberal left's arrogance when it comes to their unfounded belief that they are the Enlightened Ones, the sole possesors of understanding and truth, and ANYONE who dares disagree is immediately labeled ignorant and unenlightened / uninformed. What you possess is arrogance, not a lock on the truth.
I don't know who Mark Levine is and I don't care really. I remain unconvinced that global warming is as big a threat as the Left trumpets, and I also remain unconvinced that it is a non issue as the right proclaims. The issue is POLITICIZED, and the information outlets are unreliable on both fronts, so I don't know who to believe. Guess I'll have to actually weigh the evidence and decide for myself. What a concept...

The polar ice cap on Mars is melting, did we cause that? Mount St Helen spewed out more pollutants in one eruption than man has in total of all the time he has been on Earth.

The Earth runs in cycles. The sun does also. These cycles move the temperatures up and down, not man.

Show me proof, not opinion . Scientists say there is a consensus.Consensus is opinion, not fact or proof

I am not a right winger, I'm more of an independant, but I think that George Bush did the best he could with what he had. As a United States Sailor, I'm proud to serve my commander and chief and my country in any way that I can. As far as the global warming thing goes, you couldnt prove it by me. I live in Colorado and the weather changes here every few minutes. If it snows in the morning you can usually count on it being gone by lunch time.

I still don't understand the point to this debate.

Don't conservatives think of themselves as pragmatists?

Pragmatically speaking, doesn't commen sense dictate that filling the air with pollution will eventually lead to problems?

Put "Global Warming" aside for a second...

Don't we have a duty to keep the world as clean as when we inherited it?

If you are religious... you keep the earth clean because you appreciate the gift of life you were given.

If you are not religious, you keep the earth clean simply because you want to do the right thing, and you have integrity.

This whole debate is stupid. Anyone who takes the time to say global warming doesn't exist misses the whole point. These are selfish people who earn a spot in, hell, the place they fear so strongly.

Fact is, anyone who tries to compare the weather on any given day with an actual climate change is a damned fool anyways.

Climate changes are measured in decades, not tomorrow's weather report.

I do not listen to him at all, but I do find it disturbing that the same "scientists" that warn us about global warming agreed they have no proof. That it was warmer before the Ice Age hit. I heard the interview & when pressed before Congress he said they had no proof. Then what are we all debating? Science is proof not opinion.

Whoa! You mean that if it gets hot during the summer and cold during the winter that it confirms global warming? Holy crap, this is turning into El Ninio all over again when everything was blamed on it.

First thing to realize about a "radio person" is that they're "actors", not experts or scientists, that's ALL that matters.

They want to piss people off, so they talk about them. Any talk is good talk for them, they want people to hate them and love them. Just ignore them!

BTW, NOBODY knows / agrees FOR SURE what global warming or cooling, man made or natural, will do. We're going to have to keep watching it.

One thing I DO know and everybody SHOULD realize, is pumping polluted exhaust, chemicals and crap like that into the air, sea, etc., IS BAD! We need to stop.
