I am currently a grad student at ND finishing up my Master's. I was recruited to the school and given a scholarship. However, I completed my undergrad degree at a less prestigous state school. I feel the students and professors are incredibly arrogant. The students are also very lazy and have a tremendous sense of entitlement. Students drive Escalades. Additionally, the quality of my fellow students and professors is below what I experienced at the state school I received my B.S. from.

The University's student health insurance does not cover prenatal vitamins. However, the plan does cover contraceptives--surprising for a Catholic institution. Professors frequently swear in the classroom.

Well, you probably won't vote me for best answer cause I like ND...I don't think ND is as bad as some schools...and anyway ND isn't the only private school in the area (Purdue)...My father and 6 uncles went there and my grandfather taught there for over 40 years(ND)...The "entitlement" thing you describe is about being at a private university...It is like that at Harvard vs. U-Mass., Johns-Hopkins U. vs. U. of Maryland, etc...It does suck...It is like private school students think they are better than public school students...It is like that between UNC and Duke (I am in NC), 15 miles apart, yet arch rivals in more than just athletics...

>professors are incredibly arrogant< You are correct. The faculty is some of the most leftwing extremists in the nation outside of Berkeley.
