Im getting a Nintendo DS for my birthday.. what colour should I choose...Pink, Black, or Silver? Which one's the best? And what games would you recommend?

I have a white DS Lite. I'm a girl, and I didn't want pink. I really don't like how people associate colors with genders, but that's just me. If you like pink, get pink. If you like black, get black. And if you just want something regular that won't stand out, get silver/white.
As far as games go - I have ten, so I know a few good ones. My best pick is Mario Kart: DS. Best single player game without a story line, best multiplayer game, period. Well, if you don't like racing, don't get it though. Kirby Canvas Curse is a good, challenging game if you have some patience, but it's a little hard to find. Mario and Luigi: Partners in time is an okay game. If you have Superstar Saga, you will be very disappointed in this sequel because it has very few side quests, but the first time going through it is fun. It's one of those beat-it-and-sell-it sort of games.

Pink: If your a Girl
Black: If your a Boy
Now the difference between Pink,Black and Silver are as following Pink and Black are called DS Lite and are brighter than the original Silver one. Pick a DS Lite instead of the Silver one.
These games are fun, because you can play on-line with your friends or anybody around the world.
Mario Kart , Club House Games, Animal Crossing, Tetris, Metroid Prime Hunters,Mario Vs.Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.
These games help you learn and they are fun as well
Brain Age, Big Brain Academy and Sudoku Grid-master.
Last but not least these games are just fun.
New Super Mario Bros.,Mario Hoops 3 -on - 3, Nintendogs

Hi! I have the white one myself - I like it.
I am only reporting on DS-only games - remember that you can play GameBoy Advanced games on the DS as well and there are TONS of those games out there.
Me, I like RPG and strategy type games. So far these I have found these to be fun:
Bomberman
Age of Empires
Children of Mana
Megaman ZX
And I found this one to be annoying:
Inuyasha: Secret of the Divine Jewel
Also, you may want to look into joining a site for renting games. For a cheap price, you can rent a game until you want to return it. Better than buying what you dont like. I recommend GameFly - I have found this one to be better than GottaPlay.

If you're a girl, then probably pink. If you're a guy, probably black then silver. Or if you want to say that you're in support of breast cancer research, go with the pink.

you should get a black ds it makes the screen look brighter and the outside is nice and shiny. the best game i have for the ds is metroid prime hunters

Pick whichever colour you like. Neither of the colours are better than the other.
As for games, it all depends on your likes and dislikes.
I could recommend a game I like and you would think "WTF, thats crap".
All genres are catered for on the DS.
(You could try these though: Trauma Center : Under the Knife, New Super Mario. Warioware. Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney(picture yourself shouting "OBJECTION" at a bus stop))

well i don't agree with everyone else because i am a girl and i don't like pink i like blue but what ever color u like u should get it not just because if ure a girl u should get pink get what color u like
