Ok put in your XP disc if you want to do everything this a quick method on formatting I recommend not doing it yourself though.
but before I get into that there is 3 possible reasons why your net is running slow
1st. your using IE 7 ;)
2nd you need to clean out your history etc go into your browser its usually under tools options/internet options depending on your browser. then just click delete files cookies history etc that should speed it up a bit
3rd You have a plan with quota control. this means when you go over a certain download limit your internet speed will get slowed down to near dial up speed. ask your ISP for information on whether this is part of your plan.

Ok the formatting as I said I recommend not doing this yourself but getting someone who is qualified.

1st your put your XP disc in and it should ask wether you want to format or you might need to type in fdisk but then it will take you to a blue screen that says formatting c:\ let that complete it might ask to restart your computer let it leaving the disc in then when it boots up it should continue installing. and let it go with that.

hope this helps and sorry its so long

If you are meaning to delete EVERYTHING, including Windows, application software, etc. - the best way is:

1) "Start"
2) "My Computer"
3) Right click on "Local Disk C:"
4) Select "Format"

BUT unless you have a Windows boot (not "boost") CD, to reinstall Windows, your computer will no longer be useable.

You cannot delete entiely your computer with any software program by Windows that is installed in your computer Regardless of what version of Windows it is.

You need a Norton Utilities disc that costs about $35 to do that job. Use it for sure before you install a new versin of Windows on your computer.
