That depends on how you define "best". The most efficient form of government (in a perfect world) is a Dictatorship because the decisions are quick and without debate, and laws apply universally. Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world, so a Democracy, where every one has a voice is probably the best we can do.

The best government depends on what you are measuring it by. Is it keeping down crime or higher Gross National Product (GDP)? I believe the best form of gov't is that which lets people do what they feel best doing. Look up libertarian types of government. Ultimately, its up to you to choose what is best for what you believe.

I heard a quote that stated that "...the Government that governs least governs best". I don't know who said it, but I agree with it. 25 cent posted above me that the best type of government is none at all. If he really believes that maybe he should move to, say, Darfur or one of the 3rd world anarchic paradises where there is no real central control and enjoy life there. If he were to do so, he might repent of the ignorance of his statement pretty quickly. I am biased, having been born and raised in the US so I believe our Federal Republic type of democratic government is the best thing going, despite it's faults.

an honest government. one that doesn't soak the lower class for taxes and give big wigs in government all the money the want for stupid needless vacations that WE pay for. I wonder...how would this country be if we had honest people running it? What if the newly elected president actually kept the promises that were made by them? Think we would we better off? I DO.

Best form? What do you mean? For the people to be equal?
Dictatorship and Communism =there people are all equal...however soon the leader gets out of hand and starts killing those who get out of line....This type would be called a "Utopia" but it never works....
Besides that, maybe ours? Or what the British use?
