I'm looking to buy an XD45 but I want to know or get a step in the right direction on what to do and how to do it. I'm looking at gunbroker.com, and that's where I might buy it from. Anything helps.

Steer clear of any gun purchase online. As long as you are not a felon. Go to any gun shop. You will have to fill out your paperwork and may be required to take a gun safety test. It was a breeze. You pay for your gun and in 30 days you pick it up. If you buy a gun anywhere else in the nation or online, California requires you to register your gun. That means you will have to take it down to your local police or sheriff station. You will then have to fill out paperwork take your safety test and come back in 30 days and pick it up. Just go down to your gun store and deal with it.

You have to go through a bunch of crap in CA, your best bet is to make a good friend over in Nevada and get a Nevada License, first you need to "lose" your CA license and apply for a duplicate, then wait a few months so you don't look suspicious). Good luck
