Eliminate the income tax but oh, the constitution already did that. Congress shall make no law ... The original income tax was thrown out by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional. We need to repeal the 16th Amendment.

I would change Amendment V to say that neither private property, nor any interest therein, may be taken for public use without just compensation. A Supreme Court decision back in the 1920's gutted this amendment, and now the government can, and does, take property rights, paying nothing for them. This particular omission cost me over $1,000,000, so I am particularly sensitive to it.

Well, to the person who posted the idiotic comment about only the government controlling our money, The FED is a federal agency. It is called the Federal reserve board for a reason... It is part of the Us government.

Personally, I would Get rid of age as a test for voting or participating in government in any way, including government heath care. I would in it's place create a test that everyone wishing to vote would have to get right. Every question.
1. Who is the Vice President of the United States? (1 answer)
2. Who is the governor of your state? (1 answer)
3. Name one current Associate Justice of the Supreme Court (not Chief, 8 possible answers)
4. name one person who represents you in congress. (3 possible answers)

not only would it allow anybody who wanted to vote to vote, it would keep the idiots who know jacksquat about anything but their trailer park out of the system.

1 term limits on everyone for all posts (legislative, administrative) the judges get 6 yrs on whatever post they got, the supreme court is a serious problem!! You can be a federal judge for 6 then supreme court 6 then you are out.

That's the thing... it's your paper. It's one thing to ask for sources, it's another to ask people to give you ideas for your own paper.
What do YOU want the Constitution to say?

I would add an amendment specifically making it illegal for anyone other than our government to print our money. I would also add an amendment requiring every government note to be backed by gold (the gold standard)

No law can be passed or enforced that has a goal of regulating private behavior, short of a circumstance where the private behavior of one directly impacts the right of another to quietly enjoy their life.

If I am sick and I want to kill myself, whom has the right to interfere?

If I want to kill myself slowly through alcohol abuse and drug use, whom has the right to interfere?
