They're both unusual, pretty names. Think about what the nickname your child will get on the Damani name (Dam), and how it will affect her. I simply mention that because most kids will automatically shorten a peers name when speaking of or to them.
What about using Damani as a middle name....Tyese Damani, Tyese Rose, Rose Damani, Terie Damani :)

Where do you people come up with these names and why??? Do you want to handicap your child from the get go? Which one of these names is going to look like a professional person on a resume? Damani?? Or will the kids at school call her Dumb Aunie? I'm sure you are trying to impress someone with your creativity but this is not cool. Give your kid a normal name and nick name them whatever in your home but don't hang something like this on them and have them resent it. My DIL teaches kindergarten and we just were talking baby names since she was pregnant and she says kids find anything in the wide world to tease each other with or else the whole class has the same name. Most boys coming in next year are named Aiden. I think she said she is having four or five with the same name. There must be a happy medium somewhere.

Damani Rose is so much more smooth. It rolls right off the tongue. Tyese Terie is not a cute name, to say the least. But hey, whatever butters your pan.

I like Damani Rose best, although when I looked up "Damani", I found that it's a male name. I like it better for a girl though actually. And of course, some names can be used for either sex, like Jodi or Jody, Corey or Cory, etc. (And I work with a man whose name is Jan, which seems really strange to me since that's my aunt's name!) Anyways, I think Damani is very nice and unique.

I really don't like either of them. It's nice to be an individual in giving your child a unique name, but only to a point. Eventually it becomes something that will be a real disadvantage to the child. Maybe one of those as a middle name and something more traditional (and less likely to get the child made fun of) as her first name.
