A Chick Flick is a movie that centres on relationships, love and drama, yes both of the two movies you mentioned are Chick Flicks. However, I would like to think that they would appeal to Guys for some of the same reasons, and a few others.

The Notebook talks about a man and his wife, both dealing with Alzheimers' and how they stay connected to each other.

Pride and Prejudice is a historical look at why and how people married in the 1800's. It also looks at the damage a first impression can make and the danger in only believing that first impression.

A chick flick is generally considered to be any movie that is romantic and centered around a relationship, especially the woman's side of it. It could also be a movie that's more about female empowerment and overcoming the odds. Basically, any movie that looks like it's geared for women more than men. Pride and Prejudice and The Notebook are most definitely chick flicks. So are Love Actually, and GI Jane, Moulin Rouge, Phantom of the Opera, Tristan and Isolde, anything along those lines.

Depends on the chick.. But yes I would say the Notebook, When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Forget Paris are considered chick flicks.. Pride and Prejudice is a great movie, not sure if it's a chick flick.. it is a romance though

a chick flick is like a romance movie or a movie that usually chicks go for. i dont know about gay guys. but a lot of straight guys like action, horror movies rather than romance hence they are called chick flicks cuz chicks watch it and drag guys into watching it.

pride and prejudice is definatley a chick flick. the book is a book for girls too. most of the guys are like "AHH i dont get it...i thought she hated darcy?!" lol.
