its for a college homework of a friend who needs it quite urgent, theres a typeface called occidental, and we need to know who designed.

If there is one with that name, neither linotype.com nor fonts.com knows about it. Occidental refers to western (vs. oriental which is eastern) so the question might be refering to the person who designed the first typeface (loose type) used in Europe which gets into Gutenberg and whether he designed and cut the typeface he used on his Bibles.
