I'm just wondering which one you think is better and why.

College for me
1) More tradition.
2) More intense games and rivalries. In college you only get a shot at your rival one time. In the NFL as many as three. It's just not as intense.
3) You get to watch young kids mature with the same organization whereas the pros the teams change constantly and your favorite star might be traded.
4) Bands in the stands

Years ago I would have said NFL, becasue I watched religiously on sundays and spent saturdays doing other things. This past year my soon to be wife had a lot of homework on Saturday's so I stayed in a watched a lot of College ball. I can now say that I enjoy college a lot better than Pro. here are my reasons. The crowd is intense. even fans of teams that are floating around .500 are pumped. the rivals are more historic. The players seem to care more about the game. An amazing catch with one foot inbounce counts. Great teams win when they are suppose too (most of the time) and the plays are not as complex and much more excitied (opitons, reverses etc.) I also feel as a 6 foot 2, 210 lbs man I can relate to college players. NFL players don't seem so human anymore. I love the conference debates. SEC vs. Big Ten, ACC vs. Big East. Where else could you cheer for your worst rival. But I bet a lot of people in Alabama, Tennesse, and Georgia where happy that Florida beat OSU.

IMO College football is must see TV, and live too.

This is a tough one because I love football all around. The NFL is great for the excitement the players bring to the game and the playoffs of course. College Football is great with it's traditions, it's fans, it's rivalries and it's lack of commercial BS. The money and the media involvement in the NFL brings it down a notch in comparison with College.

With the NFL you have too much going on with agents, contracts, and disgruntled owners. It's more about a business then a good ol' fashioned football game. And granted we all hate the BCS, the BS that goes on in the NFL outside of the game overshadows that. I also think, that with a few exceptions, the NFL is more about the player as an individual then the team. I'm all about seeing guys together as a team being successful and doing it for the team (one again there are exceptions). This seems to happen more frequently in college then the pros now a days.

I have to say I'm gonna have to go with College Football.

For those of you that actually think the college players don't get paid. All I can say is just wow. Wow. Do you want to buy a bridge. I got one for cheap.

This is a tough question though. Its hard only because you have to ask, are you looking at regular season games. Or the NFL Playoffs vs the BCS. If its that latter, I choose the NFL.
For regular season games. You can not beat college sports. But until the NCAA gets it together and scraps the BCS for a bracket playoff system. The NFL will have the overall. They can actually crown a true champion. The NCAA has never done this.
Look at hoops. The only time the NBA beat the NCAA was when Jordan played. But now with the crybabies and wannabes in the NBA vs the true sport of college basketball, with its 64 team, excitement filled tourney. Hell the NCAA tourney kills the NBA every year.

It seems everyone else swooped on most of what I was going to say before I even got here.

Personally, I'm a fan of the NCAA football. I have two reasons for this line of thinking:

The first is, obviously, because I'm a college student. And even though Fresno State didn't do so well this season, you better believe I'll be the first in line in August for 2007 season tickets, because nothing beats actually being able to (afford to) be at the home games and cheer on your team. NFL rivalries come and go, but packs of rabid college students are about as enthusiastic about their team beating a hated rival as hordes of English football supporters.

The second, more rational reason is simple: would you rather nurse a hangover you got from watching a wild game on Monday, at work? Or on Sunday, in front of the TV, watching another awesome game?

No doubt there is more emotion riding on every college football game played... But unfortunately only the NFL can crown a National Champion... The winner of the Super Bowl...

Congrats Boise St. only undefeated team left in the NCAA

College football will win because these guys are playing for free to have a chance to play in the NFL. No contracts or negotiations, and all pride and effort. ONce they get in the NFL, these same guys get lazy.

The NFL.

I love college to but you lose 1 game and your season is all but over. That's a bit rough.

NFL. There is absolutely no comparison. College (JV) is a game of unevenly matched teams, blowouts, inaccurate rankings, 30+ bowl games, every other play goes for 30 yds or more, no defense, and virtually no parity.

Neither really. It's all about "me" for the top players, drugs, money, adn what they can get away with. I love football, but I don't see a lot of difference.

Of course in the pros at least you get a legit champ, unlike college where you get the winner of the two teams people THINK are the best.
