Just curious to see the people's opinions. I have revealed nothing of my own opinion. My opinion doesn't matter in this question. I'm a U.S. citizen but I'm currently living in an Asian country. Thanks for your input!

The country is ready for whatever it can be convinced it's ready for.

I believe that we are ready. Women are just as smart, as on top of things as men and we have not had a chance to prove it. We give birth to children, we know what is best for our children ( who MAY end up being president some day) so how could we not know what to do with the presidency? Anyway...no one could mess up the country more than out current male president. Give Hilary a chance, she could actually do a pretty good job.

At some point in this country we are gonna start seeing politicians for who they are(crooks) and what type of skin they have is secondary.

Call me selfish, but I choose a president that is gonna do the most for me. Just because he is black and she is a women does not mean they should be given a free pass just to get my vote.

Its a proven fact that minorities don't vote based on color. It that was the case, Jesse Jackson would have been our 40th President of the United States. Whites are the group that still harbor all that guilt, stereotypes, and anger where minorities and women are concerned. Believe it or not, I meet many women that feel a women should never be allowed to be president because they feel it is a position for a man only.

Obama has not said anything convincing yet to warrant my vote and I can't trust a Clinton as far as I can throw one.

Yes. I think the people would elect someone.

But dang, if they do something people don't like, we had better not say anything negative or the press will jump all over us and call us bigots or something. Sen Biden (a Dem) said Obama was articulate, then Bush repeated it. You would have thought they said a slur.

I could care less what the President's skin color is, but I would prefer that they not be Muslim or Communists, namely Obama and Hillary, respectively.
