I am not a minor. I am 27 and been married for 3 years. But my doctor is my aunt, I know they are not supposed to give information, but that doesnt always work, lol. Just wanted to add that :) I have just been having slight bleeding for about a minute after sex, I just dont want my family to think that my husband is running around on me, because that isnt the case. I KNOW, so no stupid answers please!!! My pap is normal and no bc. Just wanted additional help :)

It is not gonna happen. Doctors and nurses cannot make a diagnosis unless they see U.(inperson) Also, Your medical records are none of ur family's business. It is all confidential. Ur doctor is not likely to call ur family and tell them U were there. It is against privacy laws. If you had cancer or something of that nature, would u not want them to know anyway? Go to a different doctor? Does your local hospital have an ask a nurse call in line? If it is a matter of being young and having sex, is there not a public health dept. or family planning service? GOOD LUCK WITH THIS. REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AND GOD BLESS U

Unless you are a minor, your doctor will keep all your medical information completely private. Some insurance companies offer an "ask the nurse" hotline type service, so you may want to check and see if that is available to you. They are great for asking embarrassing questions! :)

Even if you're a minor, unless your situation is life threatening, your physician MUST adhere to the HIPPA confidentiality rules.

However, if you have insurance, many insurance companies now offer a 24/7 nurse hotline that lets you call and speak to a nurse about your questions.

Every city should have a my nurse hotline where you can call and ask questions and get answers. I would call your local hospital and ask for the number.
