has anyone heard if their is going to be a season 8 or not? and will all the characters still remain?

I work for Warner Bros. so I can't disclose much because I could get fired... As of right now they ARE talking about an 8th season, BUT Alexis is still on the fence. Lauren Graham has clearly stated that she will sign a contract for an additional year only if Alexis does, because you can't have one without the other (HELLO, It's GILMORE GIRLS...). All the other principal cast members are on board so it really is all up to Alexis. The network wants the show for another season... Alexis has been doing this since she was 18 years old and I understand that she wants to branch out, but if they offer her the right amount of money she'll take it, because it isn't everyday that you get a hit TV show...

Im a gilmore girl fan. Haha. From what I have heard this will be their last season because Alexis Bledel doesn't want to do the show anymore and if Alexis leaves so will Lauren Graham. Also, Amy Sherman Pallideno only wanted 7 seasons but since someone else took over hmm i don't know. If anyone has a more recent answer then mine please email me. Thanks.

This is really lame, but I really hope that they have an 8th season. I've bought the first 6 seasons and I'd like there to be an even number. Very silly reason, I know.
In all reality, I hope the 8th season happens. I'd like to see both Lorelai and Luke's wedding and at least Logan and Rory's engagement. It's bound to happen, but I'm thinking there isn't enough time left in season 7.

Still waiting to see if Alexis will sign up for another season. If she is out Lauren is out. Lauren doesn't want to be in the show sans Rory.
P.S. I love the show. Luke and Lorelai will get back together, they have to.
