Look at it this way, if everything were good then nothing would be good and everything would be boring. For example if you were bowling and threw a strike every time, game after game, after a while a strike wouldn't be exciting at all. You need some gutter balls in life to make the strikes feel good.

Maybe this might sound to you like a textbook answer, but this is what I feel anyway.

Imagine life purely full of happiness and problem free situations. Sounds good huh? But the fact is, this would mean that every one would feel have one emotion, one type of feeling, that is happiness. They would never feel sadness nor anger. If all you feel is happiness, just like the same way if you eat your favourite food every single day, becomes boring and dull and tasteless.

This utopia which you initiate from your question, brings out the issues of human isolation, of emptiness and the worse thing is, people who are perpetually happy would not even know what they are missing in their lifes and they live on wondering each and everyday what that missing ingredient is.

Through problems, no matter how big or small, we realise what makes us happy. i.e. not having friends that put you down all the time or lovers that don't seem to love you at all, etc. For the least, we know what's missing and what we need to search for to be happy.

Problems sucks, no one likes them, yet it makes our lifes more meaningful.

hi,
Can you have coin with only oneside? Absolutely impossible.
Similarly the good and bad coexist.Simiarly hapiness and sorrow, light and darkness etc etc.
try to figure out yourself that what they really.REALLY, are?
All the positive things are real...the opposits are unreal.they are illusions. There is LIGHT.The state of darkness is nothing but absense of light. So the absense of some thing is given a name, but you realise it is a mere name and nothing.A person is by nature bound to be happy forever. But he clings to the opposites and thinks they are real and the sorrows and problems creep in.
Another mundane reason could be ..problems are thee because we are attached to something or other. We want things go in a particular way,as per our choice.when it does not happen ,you are unhappy and a problem starts. So attachment is the reason for creatin for these problems. For a person who is unattached , and does his duties as service to God ,or does everything without any expectation of fruit of his action then he is happy and problemless. So it is your mental frame and MIND playing the trick. One same situation produces different reactions in different persons. Why all will not react in an identical way for a certain thing that has happened? It is MIND(Manas).that is the reason.
If you think there are problems there are problems..if you don't think thre are no problems ,they are not there. What is a problem to YOU may not be a problem to me.Observe this.So prblems are not problems in reality.By reading good scriptures ,by a Sadguru guidance , and by introspection you will understand gradually the transitory, illusionary nature of things around.More you understand less are problems, more peaceful you are.
That is what I think, my friend.

When we think of "problems" in life, we needn't feel over-burdened. Look at problems differently. Our life is to solve problems; for ourselves & for others. A toddler trying to crawl, to walk and then to run, is facing problems. Finding a cure for Cancer / AIDS are problems too. A child learning to add 1 + 1 = 2 also has a problem. The challenge is the problem, and the joy is in overcoming it. Some are tough and some are easy. A superior human being is one who tries to solve problems, not just complaining. There is no greater happiness than cracking a tough problem or situation or hurdle or hardship. Call it what you may. When we solve problems isn't it fun? As a kid or as an adult. God gives us problems so that we may justify His gift of life in us. God gives us problems in order to realise our potential. Solving them carefully, courageously, and confidently is our choice. Happy solving. Have FUN! Don't give up, when faced with tough ones, try a different approach. Win you will.

Why problems in life?

If we go without any prejudice life is very easy: Do not worry for anything. Problem arises if anything happened against our thinking:So you should think rationally:

if something happened against your thinking: Change the thinking: Or forget the things: so you will be happy: no problem

analysing the things is a problem:

Alot of people think a person is crazy to talk about God, but it doesn't matter to me. Things in life happen for reasons they may be good or bad, but either way you look at them they are all lessons in life. You might figure what the "lesson" is right then and there or it may take you a few years. (always self reflect) I saw this old man you raggy clothes on and i thought God why did you let this happen and then my ma told me that he was there so that i could be thankfull for what i had and that that man will have an even greater reward for the sufferings he had in this life.

yes it seems to be a good question. But as we know any thing which was continuously done may result in boring. So a person should get any problems or any failures in life to sharpen his thoughts and be accurate and active ever. And also failures are the gaining steps of a person. And so problems

life it self is a big problem how to live where to live how to look where to look how to stand how to write so many questions make life miserable we must answer our self correctly other wise life will be in problems when already so many issues ready to sharpen why should we hanker for problems problems will born along with us and continue one life after another till we get enlightenment or moksha after that you wont have lives and problems . So please don't hanker for problems.

Seems a lot of people feel that the "negative" is necessary in order to appreciate the "positive." This couldn't be less true. Problems, adversities, whatever one wants to call them, are part of life. There's no "why" about it. The way one perceives them makes the difference.

No problems come without a contribution from our side. It could be consciously from our own actions in this life or the result of the action in the previous birth, i.e our karma. For all our ills and rejoicing, there could never be factors other than ourselves that are responsible. The remedy lies in our analysing our own actions in this birth or meditate on the God Almighty, for his grace for working out your karma. You may work out your karma by spending your energy and time in doing acts of goodness or punya. That is what the Dharma shastras prescribe.

There is no problem in life. We are the problems. We have desire, greediness, passion, anger etc. becomes problems. We are the problems and we have solutions. We have to become aware and start working on it. We can solve all problems by ourselves.
